Annapurna Sanctuary Trek: Part 7 - Return from A.B.C. to Jhinu

After appreciating the magnificent views at A.B.C. for a few hours, we began to make our way back down the  Modi Khola, still feeling a little mesmerized.

After about 3 hours of hiking we were once again immersed in the jungle landscape.

Fern fronds about 1m in length.

A delightful little club moss.

We reached Bamboo (2300m) at about 4pm. We had been on the move for almost 12 hours today, ascending 400m and descending about 1800m. We were tired to say the least. After some much needed nourishment we fell into a deep sleep at around 7pm. 12 hours later we were on the trail again!

We were stiff and sore when we started off on the trail, still tired from the previous day's feat.

A steep stone staircase ascending 400m up from Bamboo. A great start to the morning!

By around 3pm we reached our final destination for the day, Jhinu (1700m), after ascending about 800m and descending 1500m. Thankfully Jhinu is home to some hotsprings, perfect for soaking sore muscles.
